The camera system features a 48 MP sensor with a wider aperture and a new Macro Focus mode. Despite hardware limitations that exclude certain AI features like Pixel Screenshots and Call Notes, the device includes functionalities such as Pixel Studio. Google promises seven years of software and security updates for the Pixel 9a, ensuring long-term support. The smartphone is scheduled to be available for purchase in April, following quality control checks. ​
